Jake began his live event production career in 2000 as a part of KWDM radio — a student ran radio station at his high school.  After performing a local remote with BC Productions (then just a DJ Company) providing the music for the live crowd, he was offered a position as a DJ performing at school dances and weddings—which Jake continued throughout college.

During that time, Jake became one of the area’s best known DJs and began to push the company into live event production — including acquiring the professional gear required as well as observing and working at a variety of concerts, conferences, and sporting events—learning the event business inside and out and allowing BC Productions to become more than just a DJ service.

In 2007 he was asked to help with production of the Mobile Beat Las Vegas trade shows.  Through time, the scope and detail of Jake’s duties have grown to include writing for Mobile Beat and overseeing the entire technical aspects of the Mobile Beat Las Vegas Trade Show.  In 2009, 2010, and 2011 —  Jake was the driving force and “idea man” behind the Mobile Beat tour, which visited 18 cities per summer and provided free education from some of the industry’s best know presenters as well as product demonstrations and sneak peaks at MBLV.

Each year, Jake coordinates with presenters, the venue, music artists, performers, union crew, local production company, and sponsors to create synergy for the event.  He—along with his team of Brad Dunsbergen and Joe Quinn—operate daily behind the scenes (and months in preparation) to ensure that all technical and timing needs are met and that all pieces of a very large puzzle are in place and ready to go.

In 2010, Jake became co-owner of BC Productions (the DJ & Production Company) and began growing the company in both production aspects and capabilities and in terms of DJ Offerings.  He, over the next few years, developed systems that ensured the long-term viability of the company—from sales to operations to equipment.
